Site Reliability Engineer III

Role: Site Reliability Engineer III (Cloud SRE)

As Flock expands its cloud footprint across thousands of deployed services, this role focuses on enabling cloud engineering teams to move quickly without sacrificing stability. You’ll build resilient deployment systems, reduce operational friction, and improve developer velocity through automation and better developer experience.

What you’ll own

• Architect and refine developer experience tooling and CI/CD pipelines for reliable, efficient deployments
• Own developer self-service tooling and operational processes for:
  • secrets management
  • deployment rollbacks
  • infrastructure best practices
• Partner with cloud engineering teams to:
  • troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues
  • observe production health
  • reduce operational friction
• Participate in the Cloud SRE weekly on-call rotation to maintain availability and resolve incidents
• Write production-grade automation code and tests in Go and TypeScript for cloud developer experience workflows

What this role is not

• Not traditional product feature development (customers are internal cloud engineers)
• Not a manual ticketing/operations gatekeeping role (focus is on automated self-service)
• Not a rigid desk—expect context switching and quick prioritization for urgent infrastructure needs

What you bring

• Production-quality coding experience in Go or TypeScript, including automated testing
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure tooling, including:
  • Kubernetes
  • Helm
  • Terraform
  • GitHub Actions
  • AWS
• Practical understanding of:
  • observability
  • distributed troubleshooting
  • CI/CD refinement
  • disaster recovery
• Ability to handle context switching in a high-trust, collaborative environment

Compensation

• $140,000–$165,000 base salary (plus Flock stock options). Base salary depends on experience and other market factors.
