Site Reliability Engineer I

Role Overview

Site Reliability Engineer I (SRE I) with a strong DevOps focus, reporting to the Director of Infrastructure Operations. You will support the tooling, pipelines, frameworks, and platforms that run in the company’s infrastructure, blending software engineering with DevOps expertise to automate and streamline the software delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure on AWS using a DevOps approach.
• Own and improve Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using the existing framework based on Python, Terraform, and Terragrunt; drive IaC best practices for security, reliability, performance, and cost optimization.
• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines for both infrastructure and applications using GitHub Actions and AWS CodePipeline.
• Develop internal tooling (modules/libraries) that help engineering teams implement new projects and maintain existing platforms, emphasizing automation, resiliency, availability, scalability, and performance.
• Partner with Engineering and Information Security to deliver infrastructure solutions that follow established best practices and design patterns.
• Contribute to RFCs, standards, and frameworks for IaC, automation, and supporting tools.
• Provide full-stack DevOps support to software engineering teams and help integrate DevOps methodologies into development/deployment workflows.
• Document and mentor others in DevOps, IaC, CI/CD, and operational best practices.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in DevOps and Infrastructure as Code.
• Ability to design and operate AWS cloud infrastructure using best practices.
• Proven experience building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to mentor teammates.

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with DevOps support across multiple backend languages/services (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, Go).
• Strong open-source usage and contribution mindset.
