About the role
Role Overview
Join Fireblocks’ newly formed Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team to build strong observability capabilities and ensure the reliability of production systems.
Key Missions
- Establish and improve monitoring, alerting, and observability for services using a variety of tools.
- Handle critical alerts and incidents, partnering closely with R&D to improve and optimize availability.
- Research Fireblocks blockchain workflows and identify opportunities to optimize, fix issues, and strengthen monitoring.
- Support reliability efforts by taking initiatives from POC to production.
Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Configuration management experience (e.g., Ansible/Chef/Puppet/ArgoCD).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex production problems.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- 3+ years experience as an SRE / Infra Backend in a SaaS environment.
- Coding experience in Python / JavaScript / Bash (required).
- 3+ years experience with alerting & monitoring tools such as Datadog and/or Coralogix, Splunk, New Relic, Prometheus.
- Experience with SCM tools (e.g., Git/Bitbucket/GitLab and similar platforms).
- Experience working with Linux systems (from kernel to shell).
- Experience with cloud platforms: AWS / Google Cloud / Azure.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience with cryptocurrencies / blockchains.
- In-depth knowledge in Linux optimization, Nginx, ArgoCD, Datadog, MySQL.
- Participation in Kubernetes migration projects.
- BSc in Computer Science or related certification.
- Previous experience as a C++ or Node developer.
