About the role
Role overview
As a Growth-focused Fullstack Engineer at Vercel, you’ll drive user acquisition, conversion, and retention through high-performance, visually strong web experiences. You’ll work with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, product design) to improve the user journey end-to-end.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex frontend projects that strengthen Vercel’s brand and product marketing.
- Collaborate with growth and marketing teams to A/B test landing pages for lead generation across multiple channels.
- Design and implement scalable applications, web services, and APIs with a strong focus on UX and performance.
- Contribute to Vercel’s design system and uphold high UX standards (interactions, micro-animations, layout consistency).
- Improve engineering processes, tools, and systems to scale the codebase and team productivity.
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs with quick, high-quality resolutions.
- Write technical documentation and maintain internal tools to support other teams.
- Review and provide feedback on other engineers’ work.
- Identify bottlenecks and optimize for conversion, speed, and reliability across the funnel.
- Think critically about foundational areas for maintainability and extensibility.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience (React/JavaScript/Tailwind CSS or similar).
- Strong Next.js proficiency and familiarity with modern frontend frameworks.
- Fullstack experience, including designing or consuming APIs and working with services.
- Deep understanding of SEO (performance, accessibility, and search optimization).
- Proven knowledge of A/B testing and conversion rate optimization.
- Strong cross-functional communication with marketing, design, and product.
- Strong UX judgment and ability to ensure “the visuals are right.”
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a desire to continuously grow.
Bonus (nice to have)
- Familiarity with the Vercel platform.
- Comfortable using Tailwind CSS.
- Background/interest in web design, design systems, or developer tooling.
