Role Overview

Great Minds is hiring a Senior Web Developer to build modern, responsive, and secure websites with a strong emphasis on front-end engineering and WordPress expertise. The role focuses on delivering solid SEO and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) alongside technical performance and accessibility.

Responsibilities

Front-End Development

Build reusable UI components using React, Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, and Storybook
Create responsive, accessible, semantic templates aligned to brand and UX standards
Use modern build tools and workflows such as Webpack and Vite

WordPress Development

Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes, plugins, and Gutenberg blocks
Work with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), custom post types, and taxonomies
Integrate with WordPress REST API and/or GraphQL for dynamic/headless implementations

Security & Performance

Apply WordPress hardening and follow OWASP Top 10 best practices
Prevent vulnerabilities including XSS, CSRF, and SQL injection
Optimize for Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP) using caching, code splitting, and CDN/image optimization

AEO, SEO & Accessibility

Ensure clean HTML, correct heading hierarchy, and crawlable templates
Implement meta tags, canonical tags, robots directives, and XML sitemaps
Validate structured data using schema.org / JSON-LD for rich snippets and answer engines
Align implementation with accessibility, search, and AI discoverability goals

Collaboration & Workflow

Collaborate with designers, marketers, and other developers
Use Git-based workflows and contribute in agile/sprint cycles
Document code, architecture decisions, and technical standards for maintainability
