About the role

Role Overview

CGS is seeking a Senior Veritas eDiscovery Platform (eDP) Engineer to support legal eDiscovery operations for government accounts. The role is focused on maintaining and improving the Veritas eDP environment hosted on Windows physical and virtual servers, including remote management and cloud migration support.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in technical meetings/teleconferences to review, educate, and support program objectives.
  • Perform configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting using engineering documentation.
  • Manage change requests via the established change control process.
  • Handle storage requests, migrations, and decommission tasks.
  • Monitor system components and coordinate logistics, vendor support, and site support as needed.
  • Respond to monitoring alerts/warnings with corrective actions and escalations.
  • Execute scheduled maintenance according to policies and procedures; help prevent data loss and outages.
  • Support system administration in remote environments.
  • Process tickets and work according to service level agreements (SLAs) tracked in the service manager database.
  • Provide initial response and Level 1/Level 2 escalation for outages.
  • Schedule maintenance actions in a timely manner.
  • Create PowerShell and VBS scripts to automate routine maintenance.
  • Perform daily monitoring to verify hardware/server/resource/system integrity and availability.
  • Review system/application logs to confirm scheduled job completion (e.g., backups).
  • Apply OS patches/upgrades, upgrade admin tools/utilities, and upgrade end-user applications.
  • Configure/add new services as necessary.
  • Facilitate migration of system implementation into cloud infrastructures.
  • Research and recommend innovative and (where possible) automated approaches to system administration.
  • Prepare/review technical assessments including tasks, estimates, timeframes, and effort for scope projects.

Requirements

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
  • Experience supporting a Windows-based eDiscovery platform environment (physical and virtual).
  • Ability to operate with established engineering documentation, ticketing/SLAs, and change control processes.
  • Competence in monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance execution, patching, and logging/backup verification.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Scripting skills for automation (PowerShell, VBS).
  • Experience supporting/performing migrations into cloud infrastructures.
  • Ability to coordinate vendor and site support activities during incidents and maintenance.
