Senior UX/UI Designer (Web) | Mapping Tech (Remote in Europe)

Role overview

Senior UX/UI Designer (Web) for MapTiler’s marketing team, working on engaging web experiences that strengthen the brand and support growth. You’ll design conversion-focused marketing landing pages and help evolve the website’s UI and information architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design high-performance landing pages for marketing, focusing on user journeys, CRO, and interactive elements
• Own the end-to-end UX/UI design process for website improvements, turning static brand assets into responsive, user-centric interfaces
• Review and apply insights from heat maps, user research, screen recordings, and usability testing
• Own the site design system in Figma
• Page visualization & prototyping: create high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes for launch campaigns and stakeholder reviews
• Iterate based on feedback and deliver polished final assets
• Technical storytelling: translate concepts like vector tiles, APIs, and geocoding into clear web content
• Information Architecture (IA): organize complex technical offerings into a clear site map that reduces user friction

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with a senior approach beyond aesthetics (system architecture, functional logic, long-term scalability)
• Strong Figma skills, including Auto Layout and components/design systems for efficient development
• Conversion-centric portfolio showing how design decisions drove measurable user actions (e.g., sign-ups, documentation clicks, trial starts)
• Deep understanding of UX, psychology, and conversion-led design; ability to map brand guidelines to high-performing interfaces
• Excellent communication skills and clear, concise decision-making
• Pixel-perfect handoff: consistent padding, margins, and typography across the web ecosystem
• Collaborative, proactive mindset; strong drive to learn and stay ahead of trends

Nice to have

• Interest in maps or geospatial technology
• Experience working with Agile marketing teams
