About the role
Role Overview
PetPlace is hiring a Senior UX Researcher (remote, USA) to shape product strategy through deep user insights and help drive user-centered digital experiences. The role is primarily research-focused, using research to inform and validate product decisions, and communicating findings to influence roadmap and design direction.
Responsibilities
- Research Strategy & Execution
- Plan and conduct generative and evaluative research aligned to product and business goals
- Use a mix of methods such as interviews, usability testing, surveys, and field studies
- Apply appropriate qualitative and quantitative methods
- Insight Generation & Storytelling
- Synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights
- Produce impactful artifacts such as reports, presentations, and journey maps
- Product & Stakeholder Influence
- Partner with product, design, and engineering to embed insights across the product lifecycle
- Influence decisions using evidence-based recommendations
- Research Operations & Impact Scaling
- Improve research processes, repositories, and best practices to enable continuous discovery
- Increase the reach and impact of insights
- Concepting & Validation
- Translate insights into user flows, wireframes, or lightweight prototypes and test hypotheses
- Advocacy
- Champion a user-centered mindset and promote research-driven decision-making
Requirements (Basic)
- 5+ years of professional experience in UX Research (or related)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end research and measurable impact on product decisions
- Ability to combine qualitative and quantitative data
- Experience translating complex findings into actionable recommendations
- Experience owning research that influenced product direction or business outcomes
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with tools such as Ballpark, Dig, Upsiide, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics
- Exposure to A/B testing and experimentation frameworks
- Proficiency with research/prototyping tools such as Figma and FigJam
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (HCI, UX Design, CS, Psychology, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in e-commerce, pet services, or health-related digital platforms
- Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive research/design practices
