Senior UX Researcher (contract)

Lead and support end-to-end UX research to improve a large, global knowledge platform.
Conduct research using both quantitative and qualitative methods to understand user behaviors, motivations, and needs.
Work in a remote-first, globally distributed environment, collaborating with product and research peers across time zones.

Responsibilities

Define research goals, methodologies, timelines, and execution plans with UX Research leads and stakeholders.
Scope and design studies, selecting appropriate quantitative and mixed-method approaches.
Manage all phases of research:
- Survey design
- Participant recruitment
- Data collection
- Research operations
Perform quantitative analysis and statistical interpretation, supported by data visualization and clear reporting.
Run qualitative components when needed (e.g., interviews, diary studies, contextual inquiry).
Translate insights into actionable recommendations for product strategy and UX improvements.
Communicate findings effectively via written reports and presentations to diverse stakeholders.

5+ years of UX Research experience, with strong emphasis on quantitative methods.
Expertise in:
- Surveys
- Large-scale usability studies
- Diary studies
- UX benchmarking
Strong capability in statistical analysis, data interpretation, and data visualization.
Experience conducting qualitative research such as interviews and contextual inquiry.
Proven ability to independently lead studies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication; can clearly present complex findings.
Strong organization and time management; manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Proactive, self-sufficient, able to identify and resolve blockers.
