Senior UX Designer

Role overview

As a Senior UX Designer on the Product Development team, you shape the UI/UX of Unite Us’ products and help the Product team grow. You’ll execute design work while also architecting and governing design systems and processes to ensure design quality at scale.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to define and implement product solutions (direction, visuals, and experience)
• Drive visual design from concept to engineering hand-off
• Create high-fidelity composites, storyboards, user flows, and process flows to communicate interaction and design ideas
• Promote the UX vision through guidelines, best practices, standards, and processes
• Act as a strategic leader/governor for the design process within your domains
• Establish best practices and strategy for emerging AI design tools (vet/test)
• Own accessibility efforts with engineering by prioritizing fixes and staying current with evolving WCAG standards
• Train and enable non-designers (especially product managers) to contribute to design work
• Design, build, and govern the company’s comprehensive Design System and evangelize its use across the product organization
• Own the end-to-end user experience across product lines to ensure consistency across touchpoints

Requirements

• 6+ years of UI/UX experience
• Experience designing Healthcare IT products
• Ability to define scope and solutions with clients/stakeholders
• Strong expertise in user-centered design, UX strategies/architecture, and design system creation & governance
• Deep understanding of web technologies and accessibility requirements (including WCAG)
• Demonstrable UI/UX skills with a portfolio showing design process and how decisions support the business
• Strong fundamentals in producing wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps
• Strategic mindset focused on impact, extensibility, and cross-product coherence
• Strong collaboration skills with multiple stakeholders
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum

• Familiarity with emerging AI design tools for design workflows
