About the role
Role: Senior User Experience (UX) Designer
Design end-to-end user experiences for prescription-based Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) products for people living with diabetes and the healthcare professionals who care for them.
Where you come in
- Develop a deep understanding of diabetes management, glucose patterns, alerts, treatment decision support, clinical workflows, and the diabetes technology landscape.
- Represent and advocate for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to:
- understand clinical and business priorities
- define problem statements, requirements, and user needs
- lead workshops and strategy discussions
- capture design requirements and clarify feasibility
- Evolve concepts from low-resolution wireframes to high-resolution screens, technical flows, and regulated product documentation.
- Translate continuous glucose data, trends, alerts, and system states into clear, actionable experiences.
- Understand and incorporate technical inputs from client/partner systems while communicating complex clinical information safely and appropriately.
UX activities you will support
- Plan and support research, usability testing, and Human Factors activities.
- Synthesize findings to inform designs, identify patient/provider needs, support risk mitigation, and define next steps.
- Present design rationale and recommendations to cross-functional teams and management; act as a “design diplomat” and collaborate through feedback and respectful disagreement.
Regulatory and cross-functional collaboration
- Work with Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Quality, Legal, and Human Factors teams to ensure alignment with:
- prescription product requirements
- intended use
- labeling considerations
- clinical risk controls
- approval needs
- Iterate design mitigations to gain approvals.
Growth and team contributions
- Support a culture of continuous improvement and design excellence.
- Mentor colleagues and learn from existing team members.
What makes you successful (Requirements)
- UX/Senior UX experience designing complex digital health, medical device, or clinical software products.
- 4+ years of UX or product design experience, with strength designing patient- and provider-facing healthcare experiences, particularly in regulated environments.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX process including:
- clinical problem framing
- workflow mapping
- data visualization
- interaction design
- usability testing
- design rationale
- Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, or related field.
- Experience designing mobile app experiences and familiarity with iOS, Android, accessibility, and platform design patterns.
Preferred
- Experience designing companion experiences for sensors, wearables, connected devices, or data-rich health products.
- Proficiency with modern design, prototyping, and collaboration tools, especially Figma.
- Familiarity with design systems and AI-enabled design workflows.
