Senior UI/UX Designer

Role Overview

Consertus is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to own the experience layer across its digital product suite. This role is fully remote (U.S.-based) and focuses on designing AI-agent-powered product experiences—without simply polishing existing wireframes.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product design from early research and concept exploration through high-fidelity UI, prototyping, and engineering handoff
• Design the interaction layer for AI-agent features, including:
  • Conversational interfaces
  • Exception-based workflows
  • Confidence indicators
  • Trust-building patterns
• Collaborate closely with an AI-assisted vibe-coding engineering team and translate design intent so it can be implemented efficiently
• Use AI-native processes (generative tooling, AI-assisted prototyping, emerging workflows) to move faster while keeping quality high
• Set and defend the quality bar across multiple product surfaces to ensure consistency and delight
• Apply strong product thinking to complex business systems
• Conduct user research to understand needs, pain points, and workflows for capital program stakeholders
• Advocate for the user in cross-functional decisions (e.g., sprint planning and architecture) and push back when requirements aren’t met
• Collaborate daily with engineering, product, and advisory teams across time zones
• Build and evolve a scalable design system across the product suite while maintaining necessary flexibility per surface

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of product design experience with a portfolio showing strong taste and end-to-end ownership
• AI-native design fluency (using AI tools effectively in the design process)

• Experience designing conversational/AI-agent interaction patterns and trust-related UX
• Comfort partnering with engineering teams that build using modern generative coding tools
