Senior UI/UX Designer

Role Overview

Consertus is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to own the experience layer across its digital product suite. This role is fully remote within the U.S. You will help define what “great experience” looks like in AI-agent-powered products and translate design intent into buildable outcomes with a fast-moving engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design across digital products: from early research and concept exploration to high-fidelity UI, prototyping, and engineering handoff.
• Design the interaction layer for AI-agent features, including:
  • Conversational interfaces
  • Exception-based workflows
  • Confidence indicators
  • Trust-building patterns
• Collaborate with an AI-assisted “vibe-coding” engineering team building with tools like Claude and Cursor, matching their pace and workflow.
• Use AI-native processes: generative tools, AI-assisted prototyping, and emerging design workflows.
• Maintain and defend a quality bar across multiple product surfaces for consistency and delight.
• Apply deep product thinking to complex business systems.
• Conduct user research to understand needs, pain points, and workflows of capital program managers and related stakeholders.
• Champion the user perspective across planning and architectural decisions; push back when quality is not met.
• Collaborate daily with engineering, product, and advisory teams across time zones.
• Build and evolve a scalable design system that supports flexibility across product surfaces.
• Expected mix: 80–85% hands-on design, remainder focused on research, design system stewardship, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of product design experience with a portfolio showing strong taste and end-to-end ownership.
• AI-native design fluency (using AI in the design process).
