Senior UI Developer

Role Overview

Trumid is seeking a U.S.-based (or working in EST hours) Senior UI Developer to build and optimize high-performance, message-driven frontend applications for a streaming-intensive fintech product.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize sophisticated, high-performance frontend applications with clean, testable, maintainable code.
• Tackle complex problems by breaking them down, validating assumptions with stakeholders, handling edge cases, and improving code quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Back End, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver UI that improves user experience.
• Debug using application logs, while considering system-wide performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude code) to accelerate development and reduce errors while maintaining strong engineering judgment.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience.
• TypeScript and strong familiarity with the web ecosystem build/UI tooling.
• Solid understanding of React and render lifecycle, with experience building performant React for production systems.
• Strong grasp of atomic state management concepts (they use Zedux, maintained in-house; examples include Recoil and Jotai).
• Experience with reactive socket-streaming application development.
• Ability to work with CSS and debug UI layout issues.
• Experience adding and maintaining tests (unit + E2E) using Vitest, Storybook, and Playwright.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with ag-grid, MUI React components, JSS, and/or Electron or OpenFin.
• Experience working remotely in a fast-paced environment with clear communication.
