About the role
Role Overview
Senior UI Developer (Remote) for a client engagement lasting 12+ months (contract). You will build and improve responsive front-end web interfaces from designs and collaborate closely with product and engineering partners.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance responsive front-end applications using HTML5/CSS3 and modern JavaScript.
- Convert UI/UX designs, wireframes, and mockups into functional web interfaces.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
- Collaborate with designers, back-end developers, and product teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Optimize performance, scalability, accessibility, and page load speed.
- Follow coding standards to produce clean, maintainable, reusable code.
- Stay current on emerging front-end technologies and best practices.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3 (including Flexbox, Grid, and Animations).
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with TypeScript, jQuery, and a Content Management System (CMS).
- Solid understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience with Git for version control.
- Hands-on experience integrating with REST APIs.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG/ADA).
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or similar.
