Senior Test Automation Engineer

Role Overview

Senior Test Automation Engineer (Engineer 2, Test Automation) in the IT Risk Management (Insurance Services) department.

You will help ensure software quality for products (UI and APIs) supporting the claims management lifecycle—covering claim processing, vehicle repair, and damage recovery.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate testing requirements; design and execute test plans and test cases
• Perform a mix of manual QA and test automation engineering
• Document and track defects; analyze test results and help identify root causes
• Coordinate re-testing/verification efforts to ensure successful issue resolution
• Author, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for an expanding automation suite
• Work with development and test teams to ensure delivery meets product standards
• Ensure software meets quality and performance requirements
• Summarize and publish test results for internal customers
• Generate documentation for issue tracking, verification, and certification
• Recommend process improvements and task automation to increase quality and testing efficiency
• Maintain effective relationships across IT teams, business teams, and vendors as needed

Requirements

• Experience combining manual functional QA with the technical challenge of expanding automated test coverage
• Ability to design and execute test plans/cases and track defects with analysis of outcomes
• Ability to create and maintain automated test scripts

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience working with UI and API testing across a software development lifecycle
• Familiarity with test reporting and documentation for verification/certification

Work Arrangement

• Fully remote within the United States (except Alaska and/or Hawaii)
• Must be able to work U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours
• Required to visit a St. Louis campus a few times per year for meetings/events or as needed
