About the role

Role overview

Senior Technical Project/Program Manager partnering with business owners to define, plan, and deliver technical initiatives across the full project lifecycle. You will manage multiple high-complexity projects concurrently and act as a key technical coordination point in a heavily matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical coordination point for high-complexity projects and initiatives.
Lead and manage multiple concurrent projects/programs.
Ensure deliverables from business and technology partners are produced and approved according to multiple project schedules.
Manage allocated resources across multiple delivery partners while staying within approved hours and scope.
Mentor team members and provide feedback to build a highly functioning team in a matrixed organization.
Partner with Director-level leadership; communicate issues and report on your portfolio.
Distinguish clearly between project reporting and portfolio reporting.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree (where required); or 7+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
5+ years of experience in a related field.
Strong organization and the ability to operate independently.
Attention to detail.
Business acumen: ability to discuss health insurer business concepts with solid technology understanding.
Strong interpersonal skills with Director-level leadership stakeholders.
Ownership mindset; ability to articulate issues and provide portfolio status updates.

Nice-to-haves / additional context

Experience mentoring and working effectively in a heavily matrixed environment.
Familiarity with health insurer domain concepts plus technology execution.
