About the role
Role Overview
Senior Technical Program Manager — Engineering Strategy & Operations You sit at the intersection of engineering, business, and leadership. You discover what the data reveals, build the systems that make it visible, and frame the narrative that drives action.
Responsibilities
- Discover and build:
- Mine engineering metrics (velocity, capacity, defect trends, release health) and business signals (cost, allocation, strategic alignment).
- Build dashboards, models, and analytics to make insights persistent and observable.
- Own the narrative:
- Author executive communications (business reviews, metrics packages, strategy recommendations) that synthesize data with context and judgment.
- Frame stories that drive VP/leadership decisions.
- Drive planning intelligence:
- Perform capacity analysis, delivery forecasting, and allocation modeling.
- Ground commitments in live data and raise issues early when forecasts don’t add up.
- Shape AI transformation:
- Help teams understand and improve an agentic development lifecycle (ADLC) by defining metrics, building tracking, and analyzing where AI accelerates delivery.
- Design operating systems:
- Create release criteria, prioritization frameworks, triage cadences, and financial tracking—enough structure for predictability without bureaucracy.
- Automate the toil:
- Identify repetitive manual work and build automation to eliminate it.
Requirements
- Strategist who builds: works at the level of what leadership needs to decide, then builds the enabling systems.
- Operates in ambiguity with no playbook; moves fast and takes calculated risks.
- Demonstrated ability to build outputs end-to-end (e.g., dashboards, models, queries, decks) rather than relying on others.
- Ability to translate data into clear narratives that lead to action.
- Technically grounded understanding of CI/CD, release strategies, and engineering workflows.
- Business-savvy understanding of budget allocation, P&L, and strategic priorities.
Stand Out By...
- Showing something you built and explaining the decision it drove.
- Sharing an insight you discovered that wasn’t previously visible.
- Having opinions on how AI changes engineering operations and metrics.
- Describing a time you challenged something that wasn’t working and replaced it.
