About the role

Role Overview

Agility Robotics is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager for the Robot Skills Development (Skill Development Team). You will lead planning, execution, and delivery of the robot skills roadmap, partnering with Product Management to turn the roadmap into actionable execution plans while balancing customer rollout needs with long-term platform scaling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate strategy into execution: Partner with Product Management and senior engineering leaders to convert the product roadmap into detailed execution plans with milestones, scope, and timelines.
  • Strategic prioritization: Manage tradeoffs between long-range technical goals and fast-moving commercial rollout features/fixes.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment: Manage technical dependencies and alignment across Robot Software, AI Engineering, Solutions Engineering, and Fleet Orchestration (Arc).
  • Maximize team efficiency: Establish operational rigor and process clarity using Jira, optimize sprint mechanics/metrics, run agile ceremonies, and resolve roadblocks to keep delivery predictable.
  • Own the skills lifecycle: Guide manipulation and perception capabilities from prototyping/feasibility through pilot-ready, commercially viable production.
  • Provide transparent program clarity: Serve as the central communication point for program health, timeline deviations, and risk mitigation to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Travel: Up to 2 weeks per quarter to customer sites and company locations.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, or related technical field.
  • Experience: 7+ years in technical program/project management with a rigorous focus on software engineering lifecycles in Agile environments.
  • Hardware-adjacent software experience: Experience driving programs for complex software systems that interact with physical hardware (robotics, autonomous vehicles, embedded systems, or IoT).
  • Tool mastery: Advanced proficiency with Jira (or similar) to design workflows, track cross-team dependencies, and manage program roadmaps.
  • Influence without authority: Proven ability to proactively influence partner roadmaps to meet dependencies and unblock work.
  • Leadership & communication: Strong interpersonal skills and communication capability (details cut off in provided text).
