Senior Technical Program Manager

Role overview

As a Senior Technical Program Manager at Human Interest, you’ll work at the intersection of software engineering, corporate risk, and business operations. Your goal is to build a technical ecosystem where security and compliance are automated and integrated throughout the SDLC.

Key missions

• Partner with security and risk management teams to embed security and compliance into the software development lifecycle.
• Lead agile security operations, aligning vulnerability remediation and threat detection with product and feature development.
• Reduce manual GRC (governance, risk, compliance) workflows by moving toward “compliance as code.”

Responsibilities / outcomes

• Use data (e.g., vulnerability scanner outputs, Jira metrics like velocity) to communicate insights and drive cross-functional decision-making.
• Navigate complex technical dependencies, going deep into architectural diagrams, API documentation, and cloud configurations to identify root causes for program delays.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience as a Technical Program Manager, specifically managing high-stakes initiatives in security, privacy, or infrastructure.
• Strong ability to tell a data-driven story and drive cross-functional decisions.
• Excellent communication skills: explain the “why” behind security controls to developers and the “how” of technical fixes to auditors.
• Deep understanding of the Security SDLC.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and security guardrails (AWS/GCP).
• Likely background as a Security Engineer, Systems Administrator, or Analyst (crucially, you understand the technical work).
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
