Senior Technical Program Manager, Hosting Services

Role Overview

Airbnb is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM), Hosting Services. You’ll lead complex, technical, hands-on programs that improve the hosting experience and support growth for both new and existing hosts—covering initiatives like co-host matching and management, campaign delivery, and host referrals across the platform.

A key part of the role is using AI to scale impact, automate repetitive workflows, and help teams adopt AI tools to deliver greater value to hosts.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans: define milestones and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
• Balance big-picture outcomes with deep dives where needed to solve unique problems.
• Influence technical direction to meet stakeholder needs while maintaining quality.
• Validate ideas iteratively through development, then pivot when necessary.
• Define and align on short- and long-term success criteria; continuously assess risks and opportunities and propose mitigations.
• Maintain strong communication channels so stakeholders are kept up to date.
• Present progress and outcomes to senior leaders, clearly communicating trade-offs, risks, and opportunities.

Your Expertise

• 7+ years in software development, including at least 5 years as a TPM or closely related experience.
• Experience using AI to automate manual processes and improve team productivity.
• Ability to operate through ambiguity, frame problems clearly, and drive initiatives to completion.
• Strong business judgment, analytical skills, and a track record of ownership and data-driven analysis.
• Familiarity with ML models and LLMs (and related approaches like LRM), including aspects of model testing and resource management for AI-powered product experiences.
• Experience with A/B testing, incremental delivery, and deployment.
