Role overview
Senior Technical Program Manager (Data Platform) responsible for leading the strategy and evolution of NVIDIA’s internal data platform ecosystem used across silicon development. The role drives large-scale programs that deliver data infrastructure services supporting analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive end-to-end delivery of large-scale data infrastructure programs (e.g., data lakes, data platforms, pipelines)
- Partner with hardware engineering and data engineering teams to define roadmaps, scope, and technical requirements
- Translate ambiguous business needs into structured plans with milestones, risks, and dependencies
- Manage cross-team coordination, program governance, status tracking, reporting, and stakeholder communication
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolve blockers, and drive timely decisions across initiatives
- Embed reliability, scalability, performance, data quality, observability, and governance standards into programs
- Improve operational efficiency by introducing scalable processes, tools, and best practices
- Run post-launch evaluations, retrospectives, and continuous improvement activities
Requirements
- BS (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related technical field
- 12+ years of technical program management experience, including ownership in data infrastructure/distributed systems/on-prem platforms at large scale (multi-TB/day)
- Familiarity with data ecosystems and technologies such as ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes/warehouses
- Experience with tools/technologies including Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Snowflake (or similar)
- Strong understanding of scalability, reliability, and performance system design concepts
- Ability to partner with highly technical engineering teams and drive products from concept through delivery
- Analytical approach: define success measures, track adoption, and improve workflow efficiency
- Strong cross-functional leadership and communication; can influence without authority
- Experience with geo-distributed teams and complex collaboration
- Track record of driving adoption of internal platforms and influencing engineering culture
Nice to have
- Experience supporting hardware/silicon development environments (pre-silicon workflows)
- Background with modern data platforms (real-time streaming, large-scale batch processing) in on-prem or hybrid environments
- Infrastructure-as-code experience
- Experience with data governance, privacy, or compliance initiatives
- Experience supporting or scaling AI/ML platforms and infrastructure
- Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization principles (tagging, rightsizing, cost allocation)
