Senior Technical Program Manager (Atlas Clusters)

Role Overview

As a Senior Technical Program Manager (Atlas Clusters) at MongoDB, you will partner with key stakeholders to deliver critical services and features. You’ll coordinate across product development teams and internal stakeholders, manage delivery risks, and maintain data on project health and each team’s ticket backlog.

Responsibilities

• Partner with key stakeholders to deliver critical services and features
• Coordinate product development teams and internal stakeholders to:
  • prioritize the team backlog
  • plan and drive the release roadmap
• Identify and manage risks to delivery
• Own and track data around project health and the ticket backlog
• Drive continuous improvement in processes and tools that support engineering teams’ day-to-day work
• Communicate effectively across engineers and diverse stakeholders
• Support and optimize engineering processes while improving team operations

Requirements

• 5+ years working in a technical capacity and/or in project/program management
• Experience leading complex cross-functional technical programs in an engineering organization
• Strong priority/urgency mindset and ability to drive toward business outcomes
• User empathy with the ability to balance product goals and engineering constraints
• Hyper-organized with strong ability to manage project and task-tracking data
• Proficient written and verbal communication across varied audiences
• Technical aptitude and strong analytical skills
• Ability to maintain a strategic view of software engineering processes while optimizing team operations
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management best practices

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with Jira and Google Docs (programming proficiency with either is a plus)
• Experience with project tracking tools such as Rally, MS Project, or Trello
• Interest in learning more about MongoDB and expanding into new domains
• Interest in using automation to replace manual work
