About the role

Role Overview

Join Akamai’s Cloud Technology Group Product Program Management team as a Senior Technical Program Manager. You will lead strategic, cross-organization technical programs and help product and engineering teams execute roadmaps that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional program teams through program planning and execution, including detailed engineering planning.
Drive risk assessment and mitigation, handling technical challenges such as integration points, architecture dependencies, and resource constraints.
Manage and maintain project dependencies and real-time milestone plans.
Communicate program/project status to technical teams and executive stakeholders.
Support product and engineering teams by managing backlogs, resolving issues, and managing roadmap changes.
Build consensus through strong written and verbal communication, collaborating across and outside the division.

Requirements

8+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience as a Technical Project/Program Manager or Transformation Leader with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Strong ability to navigate ambiguity, manage risks, and adapt plans.
Ability to inspire stakeholders without formal authority.
Experience with (or ability to quickly learn) tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Aha.
