Senior Technical Program Manager, AI

Role Overview

Brightwheel is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager (AI) who is AI-native and can drive technically complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives. You’ll act as the technical “glue” in ambiguous problem spaces, converting company priorities into high-velocity delivery across engineering pods, product lines, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate cross-functional delivery of AI-enabled initiatives across product surface area.
• Manage execution dependencies spanning product engineering, infrastructure, data pipelines, and internal business systems.
• Ensure synchronization between data, platform, and frontend teams.
• Drive building of software that recommends next steps, completes routine work, and automates customer operations.
• Partner with engineering leadership to design and operate an AI hybrid workforce (guardrails, evaluation frameworks, governance, observability).
• Improve engineering velocity by implementing AI-powered tooling, automated testing pipelines, and agentic workflows.
• Apply AI to optimize internal functions such as customer support and onboarding.
• Facilitate technical trade-offs and consensus on build-versus-buy, architecture patterns, and platform leverage.

Requirements / What You’ve Done

• Strong computer science foundation (e.g., 4-year CS degree or equivalent depth in core CS topics).
• Prior experience delivering complex technical programs and aligning multiple teams (product, engineering, data, operations).
• Practitioner-leader mindset with hands-on ability to prototype and use modern AI tooling in daily workflows.
