About the role

Role Overview

As a Senior Technical Product Manager at Smarsh, you will lead the strategy, development, and commercialization of AI-powered solutions within the platform. You’ll set and deliver a multi-year vision, partner closely with engineering, and drive product execution with strong customer and developer focus.

Key Missions

Define and deliver a multi-year vision and product strategy/roadmap for the portfolio of workload assets.
Act as the primary liaison between Product and Engineering, translating business objectives into actionable technical roadmaps.
Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of workload assets, including:
- Evaluating new technologies and market trends
- Managing versions
- Planning graceful deprecation of legacy systems.

Responsibilities

Drive roadmap execution and lead through influence across teams.
Serve as a product evangelist.
Analyze and measure success metrics for delivered outcomes.

Requirements

7+ years in product management, with a track record of building products for developers (e.g., APIs, infrastructure, platform services).
At least 1 year leading AI/ML or data products; experience taking AI solutions from concept through scale.
Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software engineering, SRE, or infrastructure/cloud architecture.
Comfortable leading technical discussions on system design, APIs, and database architecture; can discuss AI/ML approaches and trade-offs with data scientists and engineers.
Strong public cloud expertise, especially AWS, including services and trade-offs (e.g., RDS, S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis, IAM).
Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level influence.
Customer-obsessed mindset; passion for improving developers’ productivity.
Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Business or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect).
Enterprise and high-growth experience; ability to collaborate globally across time zones.
