Senior Technical Architect

Role Overview

Join Slingshot Aerospace as a Senior Technical Architect in a hands-on leadership role. You will design secure, scalable, high-performance application and data platforms, define architecture standards, mentor engineering teams, and oversee end-to-end platform architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end platform design across:
  • Backend service ecosystems and APIs
  • Front-end architecture patterns
  • Distributed systems and event-driven components
  • ETL pipelines and AI-powered components
• Define architecture standards and ensure alignment with business goals
• Mentor and conduct architecture reviews to enforce best practices and compliance
• Drive cloud-native architecture on AWS, including:
  • Containerization and Kubernetes
  • Networking and security
• Establish and govern Secure SDLC, architecture governance, code quality, and CI/CD standards
• Guide resolution of complex production/system/performance issues across distributed environments

Requirements

• Strong architectural leadership across APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and enterprise security
• Proficiency with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux / cloud-native deployment models
• Strong grounding in Secure SDLC and secure architecture principles (platform hardening)
• Expertise with Redis (or similar high-performance in-memory systems)
• Extensive architecture and engineering experience with .NET (C#/.NET Core)
• Ability to diagnose complex distributed system issues across multiple layers
• Experience with agent-driven AI architectures using frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen, DSPy, or similar
• Strong architectural understanding of React applications (state management, performance, security)
• Deep experience designing distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures
• Hands-on experience with RAG frameworks, vector databases, and retrieval pipelines
• Strong SQL Server background (schema design, query optimization, indexing, performance tuning)
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
