Role Overview

Join Affirm as a Senior Technical Account Manager responsible for the technical success of Affirm’s largest merchants post-sale. You will advise merchant developers, product teams, and business partners throughout the customer lifecycle, implement Affirm products into merchants’ existing systems, and help merchants adopt more of Affirm’s offerings.

Responsibilities

Advise developers, product teams, and key business partners throughout the entire customer lifecycle
Implement Affirm products into merchants’ existing architecture and support them as they scale
Lead and provide technical guidance for new merchant integrations
Reduce integration risk by identifying and steering away from problematic technical approaches
Manage and maintain technical relationships for a named set of merchants within a vertical/category
Work cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Customer Success, and Merchant Help teams

Requirements

5+ years experience in a TAM, Solutions Engineer, or other customer-facing technical role owning key developer relationships
Familiarity with the payments ecosystem
Proven ability to lead important client relationships
Bachelor’s degree in a technical major (or equivalent practical/bootcamp experience)
Ability to write code in at least one programming language
Comfortable reading code in at least two programming languages
Exceptional written communication (cover letter required and reviewed)
Strong project management skills to influence internal/external partners and keep timelines on track
Comfort discussing technical concepts with developers
Familiarity with web/mobile application architecture
