About the role
Role Overview
AIR is seeking a Senior Work & AI Strategist to provide leadership and visioning within the Economic & Employment Program. You will help design and deliver policy and programs that enable education, workforce, and public systems to respond to challenges such as artificial intelligence (AI) and evolving work patterns.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex projects tied to AI readiness, labor market change, and education-to-workforce alignment.
- Develop reusable tools and contribute to intellectual property.
- Partner with clients to translate data and analysis into practical, system-level improvements.
- Build and sustain strategic cross-sector partnerships across public policy, private sector, philanthropy, and social science.
- Support planning for workforce transitions for educators, workforce development system leaders, business engagement intermediaries, and policymakers.
- Contribute to AIR’s growing portfolio including analytic and design efforts related to AI, labor market change, and education-to-workforce alignment.
Requirements
- Proven experience developing strategic, cross-sector partnerships.
- Ability to translate analytics into actionable improvements at the system level.
- Experience aligning social change with opportunity through effective strategy and execution.
Remote / Location Notes
- Work remotely within the United States or from one of AIR’s U.S. office locations.
- Must be available to participate in meetings across all continental U.S. time zones (not including U.S. territories).
