About the role
Role Overview
Senior Staff UX Researcher (Remote) — first dedicated UX Researcher within Jane’s Product Design team.
You’ll help shape how user research shows up across the company by ensuring research practices are consistent, trusted, and directly connected to product decisions.
Responsibilities
- Build strong, trusted relationships across Jane to keep teams connected to real customer needs.
- Deliver clear, actionable research insights that influence product direction.
- Raise the bar for research quality and consistency by building on existing practices and supporting others to conduct strong research.
- Create and improve systems, tools, and practices to make research more accessible, scalable, and easy to apply across multiple teams.
- Prioritize and deliver meaningful research in a fast-moving environment, balancing speed with depth.
- Explore how AI and automation can improve research workflows while applying good judgment about where human insight remains critical.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in UX Research, Product Research, or a similar role, with a track record of influencing product decisions.
- Strong cross-functional experience and communication with a wide range of partners, including senior leaders.
- Solid research craft: problem framing, selecting appropriate methodologies, and synthesizing insights into compelling narratives.
- Experience enabling others to run better research via coaching, systems, or shared practices.
- Familiarity with AI/automation tools in research workflows with sound judgment on where they help vs. where human insight is critical.
Nice to Have
- Not explicitly stated, but strongly encouraged: motivation to build a research practice, standardize shared methods, and help teams turn insights into product impact.
