Senior/Staff User Experience Researcher

Role overview

Join EvenUp as a Senior/Staff User Experience Researcher. This cross-functional role will help build and scale research operations, run mixed-methods research, and lead early-stage exploratory research to influence product strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Build and scale research operations (Research Ops), including recruiting participants, ensuring compliance, managing NDAs, facilitating participant payouts, and optimizing research tooling.
• Design and execute rigorous qualitative and quantitative research, including exploratory work in early product phases.
• Collaborate with design, product, and engineering leadership to translate research into product strategy and business value.
• Communicate insights clearly using stakeholder-friendly research artifacts (e.g., videos, infographics) that drive adoption and action.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in UX Research / Product Research (or related), at a Senior/Staff level in a fast-paced B2B tech environment.
• Strong ability to work with both quantitative user engagement data and macro-level business metrics such as ARR opportunities for executive audiences.
• Proven experience handling the logistics of research operations (compliance, NDAs, participant incentives/payouts, and managing a research tool stack).
• Demonstrated ability to work both hands-on (tactical execution) and strategically (building scalable systems and executive proposals).
• Exceptional analytical skills with fluency in both quant and qual analysis.
• Strong business acumen: connect user behavior and adoption metrics to revenue opportunities.
• Experience leveraging AI to accelerate qualitative data synthesis or research operations.

• Prior experience as a founding researcher or establishing a research function from the ground up.
