Role Overview
Senior/Staff Software Engineer (Ruby / Full-Stack)
Join Healthie’s Web Engineering team to build and enhance features for its healthcare delivery platform. You’ll take ownership from concept through deployment, helping scale the virtual-first infrastructure while maintaining high quality in production.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve platform features from idea to deployment.
- Work primarily within a monolithic architecture using Rails and modern web tooling.
- Lead technical projects and guide junior engineers.
- Optimize production systems to improve user experience for healthcare customers.
- Collaborate with engineers and product teams to deliver healthcare-critical software.
- Leverage AI-enabled/AI-accelerated engineering practices and automation to improve velocity and quality.
Requirements
- 6+ years shipping Ruby on Rails applications in production.
- Experience with monolithic, service-oriented, or microservice architectures.
- Proficiency with:
- Rails, React, TypeScript, GraphQL
- PostgreSQL, Redis
- Hands-on experience managing production stacks in Ruby/Rails.
- U.S. work authorization required (no sponsorship).
Compensation / Logistics
- Full-time, remote (within the United States).
- Senior: $185,000–$205,000/year + equity, annual bonus, benefits.
- Staff: $205,000–$235,000/year + equity, annual bonus, benefits.
