Role overview
Join Palo Alto Networks as a Senior Staff / Principal Product Designer focused on Design Systems for a large cybersecurity platform. You’ll plan, build, maintain, and scale an existing design system while partnering with design, product, and engineering teams to improve user experience.
Key missions / responsibilities
- Plan, build, maintain, and scale an existing design system supporting a platform with 50+ services, 50+ designers, and 200+ engineers
- Collaborate with designers, design managers, product managers, and engineers from ideation through implementation to define best-in-class UX
- Lead design system documentation in Figma and Storybook (and other tools as needed)
- Drive communication and adoption of the design system across teams
- Contribute to feature work on the platform and help turn complex workflows into delightful experiences
Requirements
- 6+ years of Product Design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating design principles
- Expertise across the full design cycle: concept, research & scoping, wireframing, prototyping, and user testing
- Experience building 2–3 design systems from scratch for midsize to enterprise organizations
Nice-to-haves / qualities
- Ability to craft high-fidelity components and polished demos that align and energize teams
- Strong collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment
