About the role

Role Overview

Brillian is seeking a Senior/Staff Product Engineer (Frontend) to help support and grow its financial platform offerings. This is an opportunity to be a founding member of a growing team and shape how the organization builds, deploys, and operates production systems.

Responsibilities

Build user-facing experiences using TypeScript, React, Relay, INTERCAL, and GraphQL.
Shape frontend architecture and UI standards, including:
- state management and component structure
- evolving an internal design system
- shared patterns to keep interfaces consistent, accessible, and scalable
Support existing products and help design/build new features.
Collaborate with stakeholders, partners, customers, and the Customer Success team to gather requirements, solicit feedback, and provide updates.
Drive experimentation via A/B testing, metric tracking, and optimization of conversion, engagement, acquisition, and retention.

Requirements / Qualifications

Strong understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript and modern web development practices.
Significant experience building for the web and strong consumer product instincts.
Ability to work independently across teams.

Nice to Have / Additional Signals

Experience with the company’s frontend stack: Next.js and GraphQL/Relay.
Comfort learning and applying a variety of languages/approaches.
Strong interest in writing things down, asynchronous collaboration, and shipping iteratively (“done” over “perfect”).
