About the role

Role Overview

Brillian is seeking a Senior/Staff Product Engineer (Frontend) to help support and grow its financial platform offerings. This is an opportunity to be a founding member of a growing team and shape how the organization builds, deploys, and operates production systems.

Responsibilities

  • Build user-facing experiences using TypeScript, React, Relay, INTERCAL, and GraphQL.
  • Shape frontend architecture and UI standards, including:
    • state management and component structure
    • evolving an internal design system
    • shared patterns to keep interfaces consistent, accessible, and scalable
  • Support existing products and help design/build new features.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, partners, customers, and the Customer Success team to gather requirements, solicit feedback, and provide updates.
  • Drive experimentation via A/B testing, metric tracking, and optimization of conversion, engagement, acquisition, and retention.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript and modern web development practices.
  • Significant experience building for the web and strong consumer product instincts.
  • Ability to work independently across teams.

Nice to Have / Additional Signals

  • Experience with the company’s frontend stack: Next.js and GraphQL/Relay.
  • Comfort learning and applying a variety of languages/approaches.
  • Strong interest in writing things down, asynchronous collaboration, and shipping iteratively (“done” over “perfect”).
