About the role
Role Overview
Brillian is seeking a Senior/Staff Product Engineer (Frontend) to help support and grow its financial platform offerings. This is an opportunity to be a founding member of a growing team and shape how the organization builds, deploys, and operates production systems.
Responsibilities
- Build user-facing experiences using TypeScript, React, Relay, INTERCAL, and GraphQL.
- Shape frontend architecture and UI standards, including:
- state management and component structure
- evolving an internal design system
- shared patterns to keep interfaces consistent, accessible, and scalable
- Support existing products and help design/build new features.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, partners, customers, and the Customer Success team to gather requirements, solicit feedback, and provide updates.
- Drive experimentation via A/B testing, metric tracking, and optimization of conversion, engagement, acquisition, and retention.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Strong understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript and modern web development practices.
- Significant experience building for the web and strong consumer product instincts.
- Ability to work independently across teams.
Nice to Have / Additional Signals
- Experience with the company’s frontend stack: Next.js and GraphQL/Relay.
- Comfort learning and applying a variety of languages/approaches.
- Strong interest in writing things down, asynchronous collaboration, and shipping iteratively (“done” over “perfect”).
