Role: Senior / Staff Machine Learning Ops Engineer

Waabi is looking for a Senior/Staff MLOps Engineer to build and operate production-grade MLOps pipelines for machine learning models powering autonomous transportation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement MLOps pipelines for continuous deployment and integration of ML models.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to understand model requirements and optimize pipeline workflows.
• Automate training, testing, and deployment for ML models.
• Monitor and maintain model pipelines to ensure performance, accuracy, reliability, and stability in production.
• Optimize pipelines for scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure MLOps work complies with security and data privacy standards.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in MLOps, DevOps, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• Strong understanding of machine learning principles and model lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience with cloud platforms and ML services: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, automation, and Git.
• Experience with monitoring tools/practices for production model performance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Crossplane).
• Big data technologies such as Apache Spark or Hadoop.
• Data engineering tools/practices.
• Experience with A/B testing and model validation in production.
• Relevant MLOps certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty).

Compensation & Benefits (US)

• Salary range: $157,000 – $234,000 USD/year (plus competitive perks & benefits).
• Additional compensation may include equity incentive awards and an annual performance bonus.
