About the role
Role Overview
Join ServiceNow as a Senior Staff Inbound Product Manager for the ServiceNow SDK and Fluent APIs. You will own the product strategy and roadmap, evolving the SDK from an authoring substrate into an operational foundation, and define how it serves AI agents as a first-class use case.
Responsibilities
- Own multi-year product strategy and roadmap for the ServiceNow SDK and Fluent APIs.
- Drive the SDK’s evolution from authoring to operational capabilities.
- Set product direction for AI-agent consumption of the SDK, ensuring it works for both professional developers and autonomous agents.
- Represent SDK and Fluent strategy to senior stakeholders and build/defend executive-level strategic narratives.
- Navigate cross-business-unit governance and align across organizations despite contested ownership boundaries.
Requirements
- 12+ years of product management experience, including several years owning a developer platform/SDK/CLI/API surface at enterprise scale.
- Working fluency in TypeScript with hands-on comfort reading and writing code.
- Demonstrated personal, regular usage of AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf) in your workflow.
- Deep experience with developer-facing package/artifact ecosystems, including npm-style registries, semver, dependency resolution, and CLI design (ideally shipped/evolved a CLI or SDK used externally or in open source).
- Familiarity with enterprise change-management/release-governance systems and tradeoffs between developer velocity and auditability, including controlled artifacts (e.g., change set models) that gate deployment.
- Proven ability to build and defend an executive strategic case and resolve governance/ownership disputes without formal authority.
- Comfortable operating in an open-source/open-ecosystem context, understanding why developers, integrators, and partners adopt (or work around) new API surfaces.
- Experience owning/partnering on compiler/DSL/static-analysis tooling, including build-time type checking and tradeoffs between declarative vs imperative configuration.
- Working knowledge of agent tool-use protocols, specifically Model Context Protocol (MCP), and building product surfaces (docs/schemas/structured references) for agent context.
- Experience integrating AI into work processes (automation, workflow improvement, decision-making support, AI-driven insights).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, translating technical tradeoffs into strategy that resonates with both engineers and executives.
Nice-to-Haves
- Prior experience building documentation, schemas, and reference surfaces explicitly optimized for agent tool-use.
- Direct experience with static analysis and agent-facing structured API/reference designs.
