Senior Staff Full Stack Software Engineer (Application Software)

Role overview

Join Zipline as a Senior Staff Full Stack Software Engineer (Application Software). You will own high-impact software across multiple parts of Zipline’s application platform, working end-to-end from design to production and driving adoption with real users.

Key missions

• Deliver production software end to end across partner and internal operations tools, marketplace/support systems, network operations software, and enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with users/stakeholders to identify ambiguous problems, design durable systems, and resolve complex issues.
• Tackle problems in real-time visibility, network management, workflow automation, and scalable software design.
• Make technical and product decisions and help shape how Zipline scales.

Responsibilities

• Own features and systems with real ownership and influence over architecture and product direction.
• Build and ship production-grade systems while maintaining engineering rigor.
• Ensure reliability, correctness, usability, and operational trust.
• Use modern AI tooling to increase velocity without compromising quality.

Requirements

• Ability to turn ambiguous, high-stakes problems into simple, reliable software.
• Experience building and shipping production software systems.
• Strong full-stack fundamentals across frontend, backend, services, and data.
• Product instinct paired with systems judgment.
• Enjoy direct work with users and stakeholders to understand real workflows.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with the current stack (not mandatory to fit): Go, Python, React, gRPC, Kafka, PostgreSQL, AWS, Bazel, Grafana, Honeycomb.
• Interest in shaping both architecture and product direction (not only scoped implementation).
