Role Overview

Join SentinelOne as a Senior Staff Forward Deployed Engineer (Artificial Intelligence). You’ll embed with internal stakeholders to understand needs, scope problems, and deliver custom applications quickly. The role blends hands-on full-stack engineering, rapid prototyping with modern AI tools, and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements and design custom applications.
• Lead end-to-end development: architecture, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with IT, Security, and Data teams to ensure deployed applications meet company standards.
• Contribute to the broader engineering organization by codifying reusable patterns and sharing learnings.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with proven ability to design, build, and ship full-stack applications independently.
• Experience in forward-deployed / solutions engineering / professional services / startup generalist work where you owned projects from discovery through production.
• Hands-on use of AI coding assistants and LLM-based tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) to accelerate development.
• Working understanding of APIs, webhooks, data structures, and integration patterns.
• Ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders: scope ambiguous requests, manage expectations, and deliver real outcomes.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining technical trade-offs to both functional and technical audiences.
• Comfort with high autonomy and shifting priorities across departments.
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language (Python, Node.js/JavaScript, or comparable) and enough frontend ability to build usable internal tools.

Preferred / Nice-to-Haves

• Exposure to enterprise security, compliance, or data governance requirements.
• Prior experience with security-conscious internal environments.
