Senior SOX Manager

Role Overview

Senior SOX Manager leading enterprise-wide programs for SOX compliance, IT controls, and controls transformation across modern technology environments. You will partner with Engineering, Finance, Data, and Audit to build automated, efficient, sustainable control environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SOX programs, including planning, execution, and delivery across:
  • ITGCs (IT General Controls)
  • ITACs (IT Application Controls)
  • Key business process controls
• Drive alignment across Engineering, Finance, Data, and Audit stakeholders
• Translate regulatory requirements into structured execution plans
• Connect technical architecture, data flows, and control points to financial controls and risk outcomes
• Lead technical program management across complex, multi-system initiatives
• Prioritize scalable, automation-first and low-touch control solutions

Requirements

• Experience in SOX-regulated or highly controlled environments
• Familiarity with:
  • ITGCs: access, change management, operations
  • ITACs and automated controls
  • Data platforms and reporting environments
  • SOX, COSO, and ICFR
• 8–12+ years experience leading large-scale, cross-functional technology programs end-to-end
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Cloud platforms and modern application architectures
  • SDLC processes and DevOps practices
  • Risk translation connecting technology risks to financial/compliance impact
• Background in one or more of: Technical Program Management, IT SOX, IT Audit, or Risk Consulting
• Strong executive communication skills (distill complexity into actionable insights)

Nice to Haves

• Advanced degree (MBA, MIS, or equivalent)
• Experience managing IT SOX for ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Workday
• Familiarity with cloud environments: AWS, Azure, GCP
• Experience in embedded/liaison roles between compliance and engineering
