About the role

Role Overview

Join Docker as a Senior Solutions Engineer supporting Enterprise and Mid-market accounts. You’ll own pre-sales technical strategy, shape customer requirements, and influence outcomes across complex sales cycles as a trusted technical advisor.

Responsibilities

Lead technical discovery to understand customer business objectives, constraints, success criteria, and buying drivers.
Shape technical requirements early in the sales cycle to align customer outcomes with Docker’s value.
Design, position, and execute PoCs/PoVs (including success criteria, evaluation plans, and exit strategies).
Partner with Account Executives, Post Sales, and Product teams to drive both business and technical value.

Requirements

Strong experience running competitive PoCs/PoVs with clearly defined success and exit criteria.
Proven experience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Solution Architect in complex enterprise sales.
Ability to travel to customer sites as required.
Credible engagement with senior technical and business stakeholders.
Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containers, DevOps, and modern application architectures.
Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with Docker and the container ecosystem (or adjacent technologies).
Experience with Agentic AI dev, Software Development Lifecycle, and/or Software Supply Chain.
Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, and Command of the Message.
Startup mindset, agility, and urgency to solve new customer challenges.
