Senior Solutions Architect

Role overview

Join GitLab as a Senior Solutions Architect to help prospects and customers understand how GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform addresses technical challenges and business goals. You’ll serve as a strategic technical advisor, guiding complex evaluations and shaping long-term architecture decisions.

Key missions

• Lead and own the technical evaluation process for complex opportunities, including:
  • Solution design
  • Workshop facilitation
  • Proof of Concept (PoC) / Proof of Value (PoV) execution
• Enable successful platform adoption and contribute to multi-team transformation strategies.
• Partner with Account Executives and regional sales teams (North America) to:
  • Shape account/territory plans
  • Support qualification
  • Align technical strategy with customer priorities

Requirements

• Strong communication skills to tailor messages for practitioners, leaders, and executive stakeholders.
• Proven ability to solve problems across broad scope and high complexity, including integration and cross-functional technical scenarios.
• Hands-on familiarity with GitLab or similar platforms for:
  • Source code management
  • CI/CD
  • Collaboration
  • Ability to map platform capabilities to customer goals
• Experience facilitating workshops and delivering PoCs/PoVs.
• Experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or related roles, guiding solution design, technical evaluations, and adoption planning.
• Knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including:
  • DevSecOps practices
  • Continuous integration/deployment
  • Security and cloud concepts
• Customer relationship and stakeholder skills: listen, challenge constructively, and advocate for customer requirements internally.
