About the role

Role Overview

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Technical Program Manager to join the Compiler Development team. You will drive delivery of up-to-date compilers for NVIDIA developers and support successful product releases by coordinating cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

  • Drive software programs and processes end-to-end, from concept through delivery.
  • Lead multi-functional teams in a matrixed environment to deliver projects on time.
  • Manage projects using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Present project status to cross-functional teams and executive management.
  • Work independently with minimal mentorship, taking charge and influencing outcomes.
  • Partner with global teams across time zones and technical disciplines to define work, report status, and deliver to expectations.
  • Improve execution by developing and refining processes (process development and continuous improvement).
  • Apply escalation processes when planned tasks are at risk.
  • Break down sophisticated initiatives into manageable tasks, milestones, and landmarks, and disseminate them effectively.

Requirements

  • BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 8+ years in a similar or related technical program management role.
  • Strong software engineering background and technical aptitude.
  • Ability to investigate technical issues; attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of operating systems, software development standard methodologies, and compilers (highly valued).
  • Strong written and verbal communication and executive-ready presentation skills.
  • Proven program management fundamentals: risk management, tracking/monitoring, facilitation, time management, and problem-solving.
  • Creative problem solver able to handle conflicting priorities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience crafting and implementing processes across teams.
  • GPU/CUDA/Compiler/AI knowledge.
  • Experience with Jira and/or MS Project.
  • Experience implementing tool automation.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
