About the role
Role Overview
Senior Software Platform Engineer (AI Platform) at TetraScience. You will design, build, and scale the company’s AI and data infrastructure, with a focus on cloud-native MLOps pipelines and production-grade AI/ML workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native platform capabilities for AI and data workloads (including Databricks and AWS Bedrock)
- Build and manage scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and serve data for ML and analytics
- Develop infrastructure-as-code using CloudFormation and AWS CDK for repeatable, secure deployments
- Collaborate with AI engineers, data engineers, and platform teams to improve production reliability, performance, and cost efficiency of AI models
- Establish observability best practices for AI platforms (monitoring, alerting, logging)
- Help evolve the AI platform to support new ML frameworks, workflows, and data types
- Integrate AI models and LLMs into production systems, including architectures such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
- Stay current with emerging tools and technologies to recommend architecture/operations improvements
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering and infrastructure engineering
- Extensive production experience building and operating AI/ML infrastructure, including model, deployment, and lifecycle management
- Strong AWS knowledge and infrastructure-as-code frameworks (ideally AWS CDK)
- Expert coding skills in TypeScript and Python for building robust APIs and backend services
- Production experience with Databricks MLflow (e.g., model registration, versioning, asset bundles, model serving workflows)
- Expert understanding of containerization (Docker) and hands-on CI/CD experience; orchestration tools like ECS are a plus
- Ability to design reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure for real-time and batch ML workloads
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
