About the role

Role Overview

Kit is forming a dedicated Product Growth team for the first time and is hiring a Senior Software Engineer II (Growth). This is a full-time individual contributor role focused on high-leverage improvements across the full funnel—from acquisition to monetization—paired with strong measurement and experimentation.

Responsibilities

  • Own technical execution of growth initiatives across the funnel: acquisition, activation, retention, monetization.
  • Identify and pursue high-leverage bets: work with the team to scope, build, launch, measure, and iterate.
  • Contribute to active experiments and funnel improvements, using clear hypotheses and outcome-driven iteration.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple growth initiatives (not waiting for specs).
  • Establish technical patterns and measurement practices used by the Growth team.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, a Data Analyst, and engineers across squads.
  • Influence the new team’s formation and how it operates (high autonomy, evolving structure).

Onboarding / Timeline

  • First Week: Onboarding in Notion; meet teammates; review codebase and current funnel metrics.
  • First Month: Analyze data and identify drop-off causes; begin contributing to experiments/funnel improvements.
  • First Six Months: Own multiple growth initiatives end-to-end; ship experiments and complex projects impacting meaningful metrics.
  • First Year: Help define team measurement practices; act as a trusted Growth-squad leader and analytical partner to Product.

Requirements

  • Full-stack engineering capability; comfort working across the stack.
  • Ideally comfortable with Ruby on Rails and React.
  • Strong product judgment: focus on the user experience, not just implementation.

Nice to Have / Implied

  • Experience shipping experiments and complex projects with measurable impact.
  • Comfort collaborating cross-functionally and providing coaching toward analytical, outcome-driven work.
