Senior Software Engineers (LLM Workflows)

Role overview

Senior Backend Engineer focused on GenAI / LLM Workflows. You’ll scale core backend services powering an AI clinical documentation platform and build production-ready LLM-driven workflows used by clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Ship complex backend services using FastAPI with MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL
• Build APIs and infrastructure that interface with LLMs/Generative AI models
• Prototype MVPs quickly, then harden into secure, scalable, reliable production systems
• Improve backend architecture, observability, and code quality standards
• Deploy and operate services using Docker and AWS
• Collaborate with senior engineers and mentor junior developers as the team scales
• Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., ChatGPT/Copilot-style) to increase velocity without reducing quality

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering with deep backend expertise
• Startup experience shipping real features in high-growth environments
• Experience designing distributed systems and/or data-heavy backend architectures
• Production experience with Generative AI / LLM-powered systems (or a strong desire to learn and build in this space)
• Strong product mindset and ability to partner cross-functionally
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and move quickly while maintaining quality
• High standards for reliability, clarity, and maintainability

• Demonstrated impact from shipping AI-enabled workflows in real user environments
• Evidence of mentoring/leading junior engineers
