Senior Software Engineer (Typescript / FrontEnd - AI/ML)

Role Overview

Join ClickHouse as a Senior Software Engineer to build AI/ML-powered features in ClickHouse Cloud, bridging database technology with AI capabilities. You’ll deliver end-to-end functionality from backend inference services to frontend user experiences.

Key Missions / Responsibilities

• Develop AI/ML-driven features in ClickHouse Cloud, integrating with inference systems.
• Build AI-powered capabilities across the stack:
  • Backend inference services
  • Frontend interfaces for intuitive user experiences
• Design and implement robust, scalable APIs connecting ClickHouse database capabilities to modern AI/ML inference systems.
• Integrate with the broader AI/ML ecosystem, including inference APIs and vector databases.
• Create data-oriented interfaces and visualizations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of production software engineering experience.
• Strong frontend skills with TypeScript/JavaScript and React.
• Ability to take high ownership and drive features from concept to production with minimal supervision.
• Backend experience in TypeScript or Python, with focus on API design and service architecture.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience integrating and deploying AI/ML models in production, including working with inference APIs and vector databases.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP), especially AI/ML deployment-related services.
• Understanding of database systems and data processing pipelines (ClickHouse experience is a plus).

• Experience building data visualization/visual interfaces specifically tied to data processing workflows.
