About the role
Role overview
Join the Tooling team as a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and ship lightweight internal tools that improve team productivity. You’ll work in a small pod and own the full software development lifecycle, including rapid prototyping and iterative refinement based on stakeholder feedback.
Responsibilities
- Design and ship tools with minimal handoffs, working across frontend, backend, and infrastructure as needed.
- Rapidly prototype and validate solutions with internal stakeholders.
- Integrate third-party tools, APIs, and internal systems (e.g., SaaS and collaboration tools).
- Continuously refine, replace, or retire tools based on usage and feedback.
- Make pragmatic architectural/technical decisions appropriate for fast-moving internal tooling.
- Apply AI across the workflow (e.g., prototyping, debugging, test generation, QA, code review, security analysis).
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- Deep, daily experience using AI coding tools (beyond basic code generation).
- Strong full-stack capabilities (frontend + backend) and solid understanding of the SDLC.
- Hands-on cloud experience deploying and operating applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Infrastructure as Code, e.g. Terraform.
- CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience using workflow automation/orchestration tools (e.g., n8n, Zapier, Temporal, Airflow).
- Experience integrating SaaS tools/APIs (e.g., Slack, Notion, Jira).
- Comfortable building lightweight internal UIs (dashboards, admin panels).
- Proficiency with one or more languages: Python, TypeScript, Golang, Rust.
- Basic understanding of data engineering principles.

- Familiarity with modern AI-enabled development environments and practices.
- Experience combining AI with automation/orchestration to streamline workflows.
