About the role

Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale The Fintown’s financial platform. You’ll design scalable systems, implement user-impacting features, and collaborate with product, design, and data teams to deliver intuitive and high-integrity financial tools.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain core features of the financial platform
Build scalable, secure, and reliable systems for handling financial data
Collaborate cross-functionally to define, design, and ship new features
Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices
Write clean, maintainable code with thorough tests and documentation
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
Troubleshoot, debug, and fix production issues
Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making
Improve engineering processes and developer experience

Requirements

5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web technologies
Experience with React and state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, etc.)
Proficiency with Node.js and building RESTful APIs
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Familiarity with best practices: testing, CI/CD, and code reviews
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, communication, and collaboration

Nice to Have

Fintech or financial services experience, including financial APIs
Knowledge of security best practices for financial applications
Experience with GraphQL
Experience with microservices architecture
Contributions to open source projects
