About the role

Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer at SmartLight Analytics, you will build and scale full-stack applications that process massive healthcare datasets and deliver insights that reduce costs and improve healthcare outcomes.

Responsibilities

Design and build full-stack web apps and APIs handling complex healthcare data
Deploy and optimize scalable, secure applications on Azure and Kubernetes
Work in an agile, remote team to deliver high-impact solutions
Improve performance, reliability, and automation using modern DevOps practices (including CI/CD)
Collaborate through code reviews and testing; contribute to continuous improvement

Requirements

5+ years of full-stack development experience
Strong React skills (modern hooks, state management)
Strong Python/Django skills
Experience with SQL Server, Azure, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
Comfort using agile tools such as GitHub, Jira, code reviews, and testing frameworks
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup

Nice to Haves

Experience with healthcare data and HIPAA compliance
Knowledge of Azure services, data visualization, or infrastructure as code
Startup experience or open-source contributions
