Role Overview

Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Ruby/React)

Team: Technology & Engineering
Location: 100% remote (USA-based candidates)
Compensation: $165,000–$185,000 base

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain software using Ruby on Rails, React, and TypeScript
Deliver high-quality code across the stack (backend services through user-facing components)
Collaborate with product, design, and operations to shape core functionality and enhance end-user experience
Mentor junior engineers and help build a high-performing engineering culture
Write clear technical documentation, specs, and contribute to engineering best practices

Requirements

5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience, particularly Ruby on Rails
Strong understanding of software design, system architecture, and scalable APIs
Proven ability to ship production-ready software in a startup/SaaS environment
Experience working across the stack when needed: AWS, React, TypeScript, Next.js
Curiosity about the Insurtech/AI space and motivation to drive change

Nice to Have

Python, GraphQL, CI/CD, or infrastructure optimization experience
Contributions to open-source or personal technical projects
